I'm terrible at writing bios. My favourite is on Twitter, because it has to be teeny. Writer, artist, worrier. Succinct, no? I asked my friend Steve to write me a bio instead. He wouldn't because he has "better things to do". Whatever, Steve.
I write gothic historical fiction, based in and around Leeds and Lincoln. I have a lifelong love of Regency historicals, and a developing interest in mental health and psychopathy.
I like drawing too, and graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2009 in BA (Hons) Illustration. I specialise in portraits, in pencil or watercolour. That's one of mine, on the left. It's also of part of me, which is particularly useful for a section such as this.
My first book, His Wicked Shadow, was released in May 2014, followed by An Unnatural Daughter in December 2014.
The Review, book one in The Liberty Troupe Trilogy was released April 2015, and is a Regency mystery set in and around Leeds in 1814. For more details, click on the Books button.
If you like the sound of any of these, please sign up for my newsletter for a free digital download of Liberty (a short story and prequel to The Liberty Troupe Trilogy), special offers and news of new releases.
